Method 1

The problem could occur if the decimal symbol is not set to “.“(dot). This situation is common in languages other than English(United States).
Step 1. Go to Control Panel => Clock, Language, and Region.

Step 2. Click Region and Language.

Step 3. Click Formats => Additional settings.

Step 4. In the Decimal symbol box , type . (dot) and then click OK two times.

Step 5: Restart your computer to finish

Method 2

Step 1. Click the Start button or press the “window” key on your keyboard and type regedit in the search box and press Enter.

Step 2. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ SystemCertificates.

Step 3. On the right, right-click on the space and select DWORD Value (32 or 64 bits depending on the version of windows that you are using) when the New option appears.

Step 4. Rename it to CopyFileBufferedSynchronousIo.

Step 5. Right-click on CopyFileBufferedSynchronousIo and select Modify to change the Value data to 1 and press OK to save. Exit and restart your computer to complete.

2. Error 0x80070057 when you format a hard disk drive to install Windows 7

During installation of Windows 7/8/10 operating system or System Reserved partition is corrupted, you will see error 0x80070057.

Step 1. Insert the Windows 7/8/10 installation DVD, and then start the installation.
Step 2. Select Language to install, Keyboard or input method, Time and currency format
Step 3. Click Install now.
Step 4. After reading the Microsoft license agreement, stick I accept the terms of license, and then click Next .
Step 5. Select Disk 0 partition 1, then click Delete.
Step 6. Click OK when propmted.
Step 7. Select Disk 0 partition 2, then click Delete.
Step 8. Click OK when propmted.
Step 9. Click New.
Step 10. Define the size of the disk, then click Apply.
Step 11. Click OK when propmted.
Step 12. Select Disk 0 partition 2, then click Formatting.
Step 13. Click OK when propmted.
Step 14. Formatting should complete correctly. Click Next

You can now complete the installation without problems.

3. Windows Update error 0x80070057

Step 1. To open Run box, press Windows key + R at them same time. Type %systemroot% in the search box and press Enter.
Step 2. Right-click “SoftwareDistribution” and rename it “SoftwareDistribution.old“.
Step 3. You might need to provide administrator permission to continue this step. Just click Continue.
Step 4. Type services in the search box and click Services.
Make sure the status of Windows Update here is Started.
Step 5. Restart your computer after the change.
